Dr. Gallo was born in the state of Vermont. He received his B.S. degree in biology from the University of Iowa and his doctorate from the William B. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine which is now part of the Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine at the University of Chicago.
His residency in orthopedics and foot and ankle surgery was completed at the Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge MA, a Harvard teaching hospital, with rotation at the Joslin Diabetes Center.
Dr. Gallo is a fellow in the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He is a member of The American Podiatric Medical Association, American Academy of Podiatric Management and the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Association. He is the former chief of Podiatric Surgery at Emerson Hospital, where he has been a member of the medical staff for 15 years. He is an adjunct clinical professor at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and clinical instructor for the Cambridge Hospital Residency Program. He was a medical volunteer to the Boston Marathon for 5 years with two years spent in the "elite medical area."
Dr. Gallo has been married to his wife Bonnie for 27 years, a registered nurse at the Acton Office. He has two children: Shilanna and Christopher. He enjoys golf, rowing and fly fishing as well as coaching youth baseball and basketball. He was an avid runner for over 20 years.
